Project: Waihi Sewerage Plant Extensions

Task: A topographical survey was conducted to enable Tonkin & Taylor engineers to design extensions to Hauraki DC’s Waihi Wastewater Plant.  RTK GPS was used for this task and for the bulk of the survey the GPS rover was fixed on the Landcruiser to log heights and positions at 5m intervals.  This proved to be an excellent method to collect data and enabled us to log over 1000 spot heights in less than 30 minutes.
